Wireless Product Certification:

We focus on the products covered by the Wireless Products Directive.

  • Short-distance wireless remote control products (SRD) such as remote-controlled toy cars, remote alarm systems, remote doorbells, remote-controlled switches for toy cars, remote mice, keyboards, etc.
  • Professional radio remote control products (RMR) such as professional two-way radios, wireless microphones, corded telephones, MODEMs, answering machines, small PBXs. Cordless telephones, ISDN (digital telephone products), DECT (enhanced digital cordless telephones), GSM, CDMA, etc.
  • Bluetooth products such as Bluetooth headphones.

R&TTE Directive Overview:

R&TTE (Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive), Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive. Exporting wireless remote control products and communication products to the EU, must comply with the R&TTE Directive (Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment Directive) - 1999/5/EC requirements.

Wireless Product Application Process:

It is different depending on the frequency band of the product. For low-frequency wireless products, we usually refer to 27MHZ, 49MHZ, 40MHZ, 433MHZ, 315MHZ, 88-108MHZ, 35MHZ, and 72MHZ. These frequencies are used differently in various regions and countries.

Simple Description of the Application Process:

  1. Customers are required to provide complete test samples and accessories, and submit them to ETS;
  2. Customers need to provide complete technical data (schematic diagrams, PCB layouts, BOM, product manuals, circuit descriptions, and technical performance descriptions), and the data must be in English electronic files;
  3. ETS tests and issues a test report;
  4. ETS reviews the data and report;
  5. ETS submits the test report and technical data to TCB, FCC, or NotifyBody for review;
  6. TCB, FCC, or NotifyBody issues the certificate;
  7. Application successful.

FCC ID Description:

In the FCC application process, there is one particular aspect to pay attention to, which is the provision of the FCCID. Usually, the FCCID is composed of a company code and a product code:

Company code: three digits or uppercase letters, issued directly by FCC;

Product code: composed of numbers, letters, and "-" but cannot have two or more consecutive "-" and cannot be used at the beginning and end. The code length does not exceed 14 digits.
