What is HDMI authentication?

HDMI (High Definition Video Media Interface) technology is introduced and managed by the HDMI Association. HDMI products must pass HDMI certification in order to be publicly used and sold.

Please refer to "HDMI Consistency Testing Specification 1.1", "HDMI Specification 1.1", and "HDCP Specification 1.1" for the specification details of HDMI testing specifications;

One. HDMI Output Compatibility Test:

1. HDMI interface compatibility with TV: simultaneous audio and video transmission;

2. DVI interface compatibility with TV: video transmission only;

3. HDMI interface compatibility with amplifier: audio transmission only;

Criteria for judgment: The audio supported by the HDMI interface includes "any compressed digital audio that can be output through S/PDIF" and "2/6/8-channel, 32-192KHZ sampling rate uncompressed digital audio". It can output "I2S (a digital transmission interface, with better differential performance than S/PDIF, suitable for short-distance communication) and SPDIF audio". It always provides CD audio quality. The video supported by the HDMI interface includes "high-definition 1080I", "high-definition 720P", "interlaced", and "progressive". It also supports NTSC and PAL television systems. It can automatically output "YUV" or "RGB" encoded video formats according to the video status that the receiver can accept.

Plugging and Unplugging Reliability

Ⅱ、 HDMI port plug and unplug reliability test:

1. Interface hot swappable reliability: When both the disc drive and the receiver are working, plug and unplug the HDMI interface to check if the devices on both ends are working properly and if the audio and video functions of the HDMI output are normal;

2. ESD testing

3. Interface plug and unplug lifespan test: Multiple plug and unplug HDMI interfaces to test the lifespan of HDMI interfaces; Judgment criteria: When hot plugging, the receiving end should be able to output HDMI audio and video signals normally, while the source system should still be working properly; The minimum lifespan for interface plugging and unplugging is 5000 times or more;

Output Reliability

Ⅲ、 HDMI output reliability test:

1. Source output end driving ability test;

2. Attenuation characteristic test of the connection line;

3. Reliability of high-frequency and large-capacity data transmission;

Criteria for judgment: The longest transmission distance should be 30 meters to ensure normal sound and image; The smoothness of DVD playback should be guaranteed;

4. Whether the HDMI output is normal when the device is turned on or in standby mode.

Four. HDMI Cable and Connector Inspection Standards:

Refer to the inspection standards of the HDMI connector and cable suppliers;

Five. HDMI Port Output Test under Abnormal Working Conditions:

1. Low and high temperature states:

2. Low and high voltage states:

3. Long-term working states:

Criteria for judgment: The specific temperature, voltage, and working time parameters should be referenced from ordinary disc drives. In these states, the audio and video functions of the HDMI interface should work normally.

Six. HDMI Output Port Function Test:

1. HDMI port supports 1080P, 720P high-definition video output;

2. HDMI port supports various compressed and uncompressed digital audio output;

3. Automatically detect the screen ratio of the receiving device; Judgment criteria: Under the same source, the HDMI high-definition output image effect should be "clearer, flicker free, more expressive in details, and more realistic in color" than CVBS and ordinary color difference (can be demonstrated using high-definition JPEG images or DVD effect demonstration discs); If the receiving television device can decode the digital audio signal output by HDMI, the receiving end should have sound output; The HDMI output can automatically adjust the aspect ratio of the output to adapt to the receiving device.
