What is CTA Certification?
The state implements an entry permit system for telecommunications terminal equipment, radio communication equipment, and telecommunications equipment involved in inter-network mutual swap that are access public telecommunications networks. Telecommunication equipment must obtain an entry permit; those that have not obtained an entry permit shall not be used in public telecommunications networks or sold domestically.
Telecommunication Device Entry Certification Certificate
The entry permit, which is implemented for telecommunications terminal equipment, radio communication equipment, and telecommunications equipment involved in inter-network mutual swap that are access public telecommunications networks. Telecommunication equipment must obtain an entry permit; those that have not obtained an entry permit shall not be used in public telecommunications networks or sold domestically.
The entry permit certificate includes the certificate number, applicant unit, production enterprise, equipment name, equipment model, place of origin, remarks, certificate issuance date, and certificate validity period. The entry permit is generally valid for 3 years.
CTA Certification Process
Application for Radio Equipment Model Approval
Purpose:Provincial Radio Transmission Equipment Model Approval and Review
Cycle:15 days (3-5 days for city committees and 7-10 days for provincial committees)
Required Information:
- Equipment Introduction 1 copy
- Two technical manuals are required for the modified aircraft (one for the prototype and one for the modified aircraft)
- Three color photos (three for the prototype and three for the modified version)
- One user manual is required for the modified machine
- 1 copy of audio testing condition description
Test accessories:1 RF test cable, 7 batteries; 1 earphone; 1 data cable; 1 storage card, etc
EMC Testing
Purpose:Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing
Cycle:Usually 10-15 working days
Required Information:
- Test Sample: 1 unit, consistent with market sales products
- Test Accessories: RF Test Cable, Batteries, Earphone, Data Cable, etc
- Test Cycle: Usually 10-15 working days
China Telecom Testing

- Test Project: Determined by the type of equipment

- Modification machine appraisal notification handling needs to be done at the Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center

Certification Description: CCC Certification and Entry Permit are independent certification processes. CCC Certification requires obtaining EMC inspection report and charger CEMC certificate before handling.

Sample Photo Requirements
- Sample photos must be clear, especially patterns, text, and difficult-to-see parts should use close-up photos
- Photos should be comprehensive: including front and back, two sides, pull-out and rotate front and back, front after flipping cover, and front and back with text at the top and bottom. Photos of the back cover after removing the battery are also required
- The ratio of the photo to the sample should be greater than 1:1
- The English explanation should be directly illustrated with photos. Print the photo separately, mark the meaning of the English and pattern directly on the photo (which can be black and white), and finally indicate that it is not the logo of other companies
