What is Indian WPC Certification?
WPC(Wireless Planning & Coordination)is the Wireless Planning & Coordination department of India, responsible for the allocation and supervision of wireless spectrum. WPC certification is applicable to wireless devices and RF modules with specific frequency bands and powers in India.
WPC Certification Benefits
Ensure that wireless devices comply with Indian spectrum allocation and technical norms, and are legally conducted sales and usage.
Part of the license-exempt (License‑Exempt) frequency band devices can walk self-declaration/simplified process.
WPC Certification Process
1
Frequency Band and Path Confirmation
- Confirm that the used frequency band/power is within the license-exempt range
- Determine self-declaration or complete application path
- Prepare samples and technical documents
2
Testing and Evaluation
- Conduct RF/EMC testing (refer to Indian or equivalent standards as applicable)
- Rectification and closed-loop verification
3
Registration and Marking
- Complete online registration and document submission
- Mark as required and file preparation
