NCC Certification Introduction

NCC is the abbreviation of the National Communications Commission, which is in charge of managing the communication information equipment circulating and used in the Taiwanese market:

1. LPE: Low Power Equipment refers to low-power devices (such as Bluetooth and WIFI devices);

2. TTE: Telecommunications Terminal Equipment refers to communication terminal devices (such as mobile phones and tablets).

NCC Certification Product Scope

1. Wireless network (WLAN) products (such as IEEE 802.11a/b/g)、UNII、Bluetooth products、RFID、ZigBee、wireless keyboards、wireless mice、wireless headphones microphones、radio walkie-talkies、radio remote toys、various radio remote controllers、various wireless anti-theft devices etc.

2. Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) products, such as wired telephones (including VOIP network telephones)、automatic alarm devices、telephone answerers、fax machines、remote devices、wired telephones wireless main and sub units、key telephone systems、data equipment (such as ADSL equipment)、incoming call display terminal devices、2.4GHz RF telecommunications terminal equipment, etc.

3. Land mobile communication network equipment (PLMN) products, such as wireless broadband access terminal equipment (WiMAX terminal equipment)、GSM 900/DCS 1800 mobile telephones and terminal equipment (2G mobile phones)、third-generation mobile communication terminal equipment (3G mobile phones) etc.

NCC Certification Symbol Proportion Description

1. The NCC symbol shall be affixed or stamped on the body of the equipment in an appropriate proportion and size, without any maximum or minimum size regulation, with clarity in mind.

2. This NCC symbol shall be affixed together with the inspection qualified number on the product in accordance with the regulation, in a single frequency color, clear and easy to identify.

Inspection Qualified Label Example

In order to meet the needs of Taiwan's trade facilitation and customs clearance, starting from January 1, 1995, the revised certification label format for telecommunications controlled RF equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment is as follows: low-power RF motors and wireless telecommunications terminal equipment that obtained certification numbers before December 31, 1994, if the certification numbers need to be converted to the 1995 new coding method (customs clearance code).

NCC Certification Application Cycle

Factory Inspection and Certificate Validity Period

The NCC certification has no factory inspection, and the certificate has no validity period. As long as the product has not changed and the test standards have not been updated, the certificate is always valid.
